Donald Trump Announces Plans for His Presidential Library

Beginning with Franklin Roosevelt, every President has donated the documents from their time in office to a Presidential Library. The libraries serve as a museum, preserving the legacy of American presidents for future generations. The libraries are privately funded, often from donations, and federally maintained by the National Archives. The former presidents contribute to decisions about location, design, and content. Now, former president, Donald Trump, has begun work on his own library.

"I will build a great library," said former President Trump. "And nobody builds libraries better than me, believe me, and I’ll build it very inexpensively. I will build a great, great library in Las Vegas and I’ll have somebody else pay for that library."

The Trump library will be unique because it will also be a resort casino. "The Trump Presidential Library & Resort will be huge!" said Trump. "It's being designed by the best people,,, the best people. There's going to be a great... really, really great casino. We'll have world-class restaurants and fabulous shopping. And there will also be a fantastic, absolutely fantastic archive area where people can relive the years of the greatest presidency in the history of America."

Information for the library will be provided almost exclusively by Fox News. Kiosks will be setup so visitors can watch hours of reporting by Fox. They will also be able to read any of the tweets Trump sent while president. Video of Trump Rallies will also be available as well as episodes of "The Apprentice". The name of the library's archive will be the "President Donald J. Trump Forever United America Archive" or the "Trump F.U. America Archive" for short. Admission to the archive will be $10 per person. 

"The cost for the archive will be covered by a corporate sponsor," said Trump. "The My Pillow company has agreed to pay for the archive section. I personally spoke with the owner for the company... you know, what's his name... the Pillow Guy, and he said, 'Sir, it would be an honor to sponsor you.' So we have that great American... Pillow Guy, to thank for this."

Trump says that donations are already pouring in. "The American People are dying to relive the greatest years of their lives while I was president. They are also anxious to play craps and enjoy some high quality entertainment like the Scott Baio Song and Dance Review. We've received a lot... just tremendous, tremendous amounts of cash from loyal American citizens and other supporters. It's going to be really, really beautiful and it will be the first Presidential Library that makes a profit for a former president."

The Trump Presidential Library and Resort is expected to open by next spring.
